I've been finding that size is not a problem with plein air painting. As a matter of fact, larger paintings tend to be easier to work with. I had painted this scene a few years ago, although on a much smaller scale. I wanted to experiment with the same scene on a larger surface. This painting won the Best Marine Award at the 2018 Plein Air Easton competition.
