We met Kobe while staying in Dana Point, CA for the 2017 Laguna Plein Air Invitational. He's a wonderfully friendly chocolate lab and welcomed us into his home for the week, along with his fantastic humans. This painting is featured in the September 2018 issue of Southwest Art magazine in a cover story about my journey as a plein air painter.
